About
I'm Dave Cornish. I help local service businesses and auto dealers build lead generation systems that produce qualified appointments — not impressions, not clicks, appointments.
I got into this work because I kept seeing the same pattern: small businesses spending real money on marketing with no idea what was actually working. Agencies delivering reports full of metrics that don't matter. Business owners making decisions based on gut feeling because the data wasn't there.
So I focused on the part most people skip: the infrastructure. Tracking, attribution, conversion paths. The unsexy work that makes everything else make sense. Once you can actually see what's happening between a click and a closed deal, optimization becomes straightforward.
How I think about this work
Measure first, optimize second
You can't improve what you can't measure. Tracking and attribution always come before campaign optimization.
Fundamentals over tactics
The biggest gains come from getting the basics right — not from the latest hack, platform, or trend.
Systems over campaigns
A campaign is a one-time thing. A system compounds. I build the latter.
Clarity over complexity
If I can't explain what's working and why in plain language, I haven't done my job.
Background
I'm based in Alberta, Canada. My clients are primarily local service businesses — auto dealers, restoration companies, trades — who need more qualified leads and better visibility into their marketing spend.
I'm not an agency. I don't have a team of account managers or a client roster in the hundreds. I work with a small number of businesses at a time so I can do the work properly — the kind of detailed, technical work that gets skipped when you're managing fifty accounts.
My approach is built on frameworks I've developed and refined through direct client work: false belief identification for messaging, end-to-end tracking systems, and conversion optimization processes that compound over time.
When I'm not building lead gen systems, I'm probably reading about behavioral psychology, studying market dynamics, or trying to optimize my sleep schedule with the same intensity I bring to landing pages.

If you're spending on marketing but can't tell what's working, let's fix that. No pitch decks. Just a conversation about your numbers.
